Paris, anyone?

I just saw "An Education" with Marie & Amy, and I'm ready to go to Paris. Right now!
You can watch the trailer here. It was just all around dreamy!
It is based on the book by Nick Hornby, which is at the top of my reading list.

And any movie that includes Madeleine Peyroux is just fine by me!  Oh, and the rest of the songs were up there as well. Here's one of my fav's! Enjoy.

Some of my favorite things

I love gold jewelry, especially this simple gold bracelet.  You can find it here.

David has a new audio recording from his latest tour AND the first story was recorded in Denver! How special.  You can find it here.

Loving this scent by philosophy...Find it here!

A red french press. Isn't this so adorable.

Hockey Night

Last night, Marie & I went to the DU vs. UND hockey game.  Roommate against Roommate!
I was really surprised by how many Sioux fans were there.  I could relax during the game, because there was a big net that stopped all the stray pucks from hitting me in the mouth.
The Pioneers won, but we'll see what happens tonight.

That's a cropduster.

A few weeks ago, Natalia, Beth & I went to one of my very favorite authors, David Sedaris.  I flipped out and bought tickets as soon as they went on sale, so we were in the 2nd row, but way, way, way on the end.  Natalia and Beth are so sweet and said that they thought the seats were great because they could see his profile and his nervous twitches.
After the reading, we stood in line to meet him and he really took a liking to Natalia (whom he's already met like 6 times). I shouldn't talk - I think I've seen him 5 times and Miss Beth has seen him twice.
Until next time David......

She even dresses up to cook!

Last week Beth & I had a little cooking night.  We were planning on making lasagna roll-ups, but the noodles didn't exactly roll, rather they broke in pieces, so we made traditional lasagna instead! It was so good anyway though.

When I first moved to Denver I would swear that Beth was in this commercial that kept playing, but I couldn't get ahold of her to ask and it was driving me crazy.  Anyway, the commercial is for some sort of kitchen appliance and the actor holds up a photo of Beth (shown below) and says, "My wife even dresses up to cook!" And there is Beth, in the photo, with her pearls and a pie.

Fall Accessories!

I'd like to think that I've cut back a lot on unnecessary items in the past few months.  I'm really trying anyway.  This week I just had to do a little fall splurging.
The tights are from ModCloth and the skimmers are from Urban Outfitters.

And P.S. My best friend, Karley, has started her Christmas list over on her blog.  (Check it out here.) I'd like to point out the obvious - a large majority of the items look like they belong to someone who lives in Colorado OR should live in Colorado. I'm just saying that because I
miss her so much!
Maybe she should add a "FLIGHT TO DENVER" to her Christmas list!

Booo!

Happy Halloween! I had some of Denver's coolest people over for a mini Halloween party.

I was Mary Poppins!

I really love Emily's expression in this one! That totally made it worth posting!
Below: Three of the most lovely ladies in Denver!

Oliver was kind and shared one of his many costumes with Francie.  She loved it.
