I haven't updated in a while, so here goes! Since I have blogged last, I've had the pleasure to see the lovely Beth Summerfield not once, but TWICE! We went to a blind wine tasting at Paris on the Platte. I guess all of the wines wrong, but it was so fun anyway.
We also went to an Andre Rieu concert at the Pepsi Center. Oh, Andre. It was definitely unique and I loved that I was there with Beth.

Karley called me early this morning and started off my day with a lot of happiness. Then, I went to Wal-Mart (and it was SO early that it wasn't all) and bought a lot of pretty flowers. I'm going to try and keep them alive in the Denver desert!

I have 10 pages of my copyright paper finished! Only about five left...I'm starting to run low on ideas and my mind is definitely wandering. This is my LAST paper of Spring Quarter!

Here are a few videos that I CANNOT get enough of!

Iron & Wine / Flight of the Conchords

Images via here, here, here and here

Last night I went to Iron & Wine and Flight of the Conchords at Red Rocks. It was so great. We got a little carried away at Buenos Aires Pizzeria with the empanadas, pizza, Quilmes and Gelato, so we were late and missed most of the opening band, "Iron & Wine," which I really love, but we got to see one or two songs. We had some real losers sitting behind us, but it was all worth it.
Here's a video that some one else took last night and the last one is a clip from the Flight of the Conchord's show.

Muddy Waters

Oliver and I celebrated my day off and the beautiful weather by going to the dog park. He took the plunge and went in the water...and sank in the mud. I thought I'd have to go in and get him out, but he finally made it all by himself - after he gave me a look of horror.

Idiots of Ants: Dedicated to Roey

This post is dedicated to Roey. She loves to play high-stress food service games. Among her favorites is Cake Mania (shown below). I stumbled upon the "Facebook in Real Life" video shown at the bottom. These guys are super funny and I watched all of their skits and found "Wii Breakfast." Roey would love to play Wii Breakfast...wouldn't you Roey?

Watch at your own risk

Last night Marie, her friend Amy, and I went to a Rockies game. Amy got free tickets through works and soon after finding our seats, we made our own theory about why the tickets were free. We sat directly in front of at least a dozen pre-teen boys and girls who had probably consumed lethal amounts of sugar. They were "cheering" and screaming throughout the entire game. There's really no words to describe the sound, so here are some videos that Marie took. Warning: watch at your own risk -you may need to adjust your volume so you don't have a heart attack!

The first video is of some guy who really (REALLY) wanted to start the wave. He tried probably over 20 times to get everyone going and the pre-teens were his perfect target. Yes, I joined in one the wave. This video makes me look a lot more excited than I actually was.

Monday Misc.

First of all, YUM! I bought my first batch of cherries this afternoon! They were more expensive than my whole lunch combined, but SO worth it.
Secondly, I am getting good at the ukulele. Not good actually, but Oliver likes it.

Thirdly, I'm so proud of Marie. She's becoming a shoe person. The first picture is two of my favorite pairs of Marie's shoes. The second picture is of Marie's "messy" room. She is happy now because she's come to the point that she has enough shoes to make a shoe mess.

The Wizard of Oliver

Oliver fell asleep on my shoes this afternoon. I guess in this picture, he'd be the house that fell on the wicked witch?

Good things come in pairs

Okay, so I'm still addicted to this site. These are two that I would send to myself. Speaking of two things for myself, here are a few new wines I picked up for the weekend. This weekend I'm writing a 15 page paper on copyright and probably doing nothing fun!

The Furry Scurry

The Furry Scurry is a big event in Wash Park to raise money for the Dumb Friends League (animal shelter). My neighbor invited Oliver & I along and then I convinced Marie to come along. It was total chaos. I think they estimated around 10,000 dogs! Oliver was completely crazy in every way. He was pulling me, lunging at other dogs and overall, very naughty. We got a lot of freebies - anything Oliver could ever dream of. He literally slept the entire rest of the day.
